McMaster University’s Health in the Hubs is looking for Community Consultants for their Community course. A community consultant attends the course on Wednesday evening, shares their familiarity with their community (Crown Point) with the students and answers questions and talks about what it is like to live in Crown point. Regular attendance is important, as well as reporting to the Crown point community planning team about progress in the course. The students take what they have learned from the community consultant, research background information on a topic suggested by the planning team and the consultant and present to the community at the end of the course. There is a stipend for the consultant at the close of the course. If you are interested, please send a letter of interest to the planning team by the next meeting: August 19, 2013.
